This is a great hotel and pretty exceptional value. Service levels are high and overall we we were happy.
In terms of things to improve, rooms are now feeling tired and in need of renovation, and food quality in the buffet is much lower in standard than when we last visited 10 years ago. It’s such a shame as the kitchens here are superb (we visited them for a brilliant kids cookery class when we last stayed), as are the willingness of the staff, who are great. They just prepare too much food, especially meats, and let it dry out so it loses texture and flavour. Easily fixed!
An alternative is to eat at the many alacarte restaurants in SoHo Square just outside.
Overall though, this is a good choice, better than others like Sunrise Arabian etc., and great value, it just could be better with a few changes by the owner.
