When we arrived, we saw the cleaning staff doing their thing and it seemed to be very thorough--so cleanliness gets high remarks. The biggest issue I had is that there is no front desk staff or lobby so there is absolutely no where to leave your bags. Even at 2 start motels, you can generally drop your bags off so you can move about the city with comfort. The code for your door is activated at 4pm exactly so unless you opt to pay $30, there is no such thing as early check-in. Again, I wish I knew all these details before booking. For $250 a night, I believe another hotel would have been open to early check in with no fee or at the very least, let you leave your bags in a secure location. We didn't use the kitchenette but all things seemed to be in working order which is convenient for people who have a need for a fridge, coffee machine, etc. The area was fine--I saw some review that shady characters hung around the area but I did not see any of that. We used Uber to get around to Northwood (very cute area with shops and restaurants) and Downtown.

This review is a real person not AI. I should have read other reviews on other sites. On this website it had good ratings. The hotel looks charming. But I agree with the other reviews there are serious security issues staying at this hotel. I was arriving very late due to the TSA shutdown my flight was delayed. You can not reach the hotel directly. I was advised there is no front desk or security at this hotel. Someone called me from a Google IP number. She was asking for additional fees. The caller ID said "Spam". I ask her for the direct hotel number so I could call back. There was a long pause. She said she was on her computer not at the hotel. She hesitated with the hotel number and could not answer basic questions like how far the hotel was from downtown. I thought this was someone who did not know the local area and it raised Red Flags. For my security I was not comfortable providing my card for any additional fees. I ask to wait until I arrived. As a travel writer who covers hotels around the world I was being cautious. It turns out the hotel is in a bad area. The hotel canceled my room even though it was paid in full. They rebooked it with another guest. Lesson Learned I should have read other reviews.

This newly remodeled motel fit exactly what I needed for this trip to W Palm Beach. Aside from it being in a less desirable part of town, it felt safe enough and the property is well maintained. If I had to book again, I would book an upstairs room.

Enjoyed my stay at the Jaxon. Nice room with everything you need. Shower has great pressure. If you get there late, parking spots in lot are filled so just parked next street over. Can hear cars driving on road in morning but nothing major.

This is not a typical motel. There is no offfice or check in I all needs to be done on line. Very confusing. The person I talked to did not seem to know anything about the motel!

There is not staff at the Jaxon. You sign in on-line and get a room code to access your room. They do monitor the parking lot as I upgraded to a reserved spot and received a text at 10:45 pm to ask about my vehicle. My room was very small, on the side of the hotel with one small window and no light. The bathroom barely had room to turn around. But the kitchen was very nice. The beds are comfy and the towels are very nice. Plenty of plugs near (and in) the bed for charging phone, watch, computer and other items. But I was only there for work for two nights and it was fine. My co-worker had a larger room which was much nicer. I had a little time one morning and walked around the area. Not too much in terms of shops, but otherwise very cute side streets.

The room was very clean and quiet. The area not what we expected (a tad "run down"). No real interaction with staff as there is none onsite but if in the area for another cruise, we would most likely book here again. No nearby food that we felt safe walking to. We door dashed both dinner and breakfast the next morning.

The apartment style room we stayed in was large and clean. The bathroom was very small (but clean and had great water pressure) and towels really soft. Everything in the unit looked new. Appreciated the full fridge/freezer, simple dishes, frying pan and hot plate - enough to get by. The bed was really soft (too soft for me). They need room darken shades, as the enighborhoodd is bright and lots of night all night long. Neighborhood is a little sketchy and it is located on a loud, busy road. Traffic is all night long. No motel amenities. No staff on sight. No office. Rooms are not sound proof by any means.
