Fantastic stay for a great price. Really handy location easy enough to get into central Cardiff with plenty of things around. From check in staff were friendly & helpful. We stayed in a ground floor room, we were told these ones had recently been refurbished & they were slowly refurbing all rooms. Rooms were compact but had everything needed & were clean. Some of the finishing touches were a bit incomplete but didn’t affect the use of anything. We didn’t get chance to eat in the restaurant but it seemed busy & we were told the food was lovely there. Overall super impressed & would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel with rooms that were clean and comfortable for our one night stay. Staff very welcoming and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant - food and service were excellent. I am coeliac and they were able to cater for me and offered choices. We would definitely stay here again.

No heating working in room and room very small the pub is nicely decorated but the food prices are extortionate ie 2 large prawns £22 for a starter,I ordered the pie and chips for £20 no veg that was extra and it came out as chunks of meat and gravy in a bowl plate with a flaky bit of pastry on top no pie at all and beer very expensive then it called last orders at 9 45pm never go back

We stayed here for one night for the Six Nations in Cardiff and while we expected a premium, the room is overpriced for what it is, especially then having to pay for breakfast on top. The staff were superb on arrival and at front desk throughout our stay but you can tell the place still needs work. In our room there were bits of trim loose in the bathroom and the hairdryer didn’t work in our room so I had to go and borrow one from front desk. Unfortunately breakfast was also poor quality and a forty minute wait between tea arriving and a bacon sandwich wasn’t great. In fairness the manager deducted the cost of the sandwich from the bill. All round, the performance of the staff wasn’t enough to make us want to return.

The staff both on reception and around the rooms were the best we've ever encountered. Nice hotel with good parking. Room was a little tired, but passable. It was clean.

The whole place needs revamping. No hairdryer in the room asked staff for one and was told two had broken and they didn’t have any to replace. The cups were not changed in all the time we stayed, like wise with the tea and coffee sachets not replaced. We stayed for 3 nights. The door into the bathroom had a very loud squeak so when using in the night woke partner up. Bath and hand towels very thin. All need replacing. The staff were friendly and tried to help but will not be staying there again. Needs lots of money spending there.
