This is the second time I have stayed at this property and it was not a disappointment. Quick sign in and room was as expected. No trouble exiting the next day. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in town for another concert.

We were looking for a budget option in the Berkeley area and this fit the bill. You get what you pay for so it was fine for what it was. There were a few strange people coming in later at night, but they never bothered us, and aside from that, it was fairly normal for a motel experience. The staff was not present much which was the biggest challenge when our keys stopped working part way through. We also had to ask for basic items to be stocked in our room at one point. So, not great, but honestly, fine for a budget option.

Nice hotel near UC Berkeley. Plenty of parking and the hotel appears well maintained. The manager is nice and very accommodating. They have coffee all day long and it has a good taste. Neighborhood has small shops and restaurants. There is a bus stop steps away and bus #51B takes you straight to UC Berkeley’s historic entrance; avoid the parking headaches. We will return to this hotel. Thank you.

There was no blow dryer, I asked for one and they did find one but it was broken and filthy. I went back to the desk and asked for another they couldn’t find one then I begged and they eventually did and brought it to my room. I liked the free parking and coffee. The room/bed gave me the creeps. I got paranoid about bed bugs (thought there probably aren’t any?). The pillows had no protector other than a thin pillow case so the cleanliness made me worried throughout the night. The pool looked nice but I didn’t use it. The staff were helpful and seemed nice. The carpet was gross but I always bring flip flops for walking around. Definitely not worth what I paid. Pretty disappointed.

Never will I ever stay in this dirty, smelly, old hotel where I got bit by bed bugs! A cockroach was walking across the ceiling! The room stank like mold and stale. The white sheets were no longer white! It was a terrible place to stay. Just me trying to save a few bucks and it back fired! Just don’t stay here.

The room was in poor condition — stained carpets, greasy marks on the bed frames and glass windows, a torn window screen, and peeling paint on the bathroom door. Not even water cups in the room. Breakfast was equally disappointing. When I arrived at 8:15 AM, staff informed me they were out of coffee and would not make more. There was no milk either. Perhaps we were given an inferior room (ours faced a busy avenue rather than the quieter neighborhood behind the hotel). Perhaps the staff member I encountered was simply having a bad day, or the person at check-in took issue with me traveling with a child. We paid more than $700 for two nights. Whatever the reason, the entire stay felt deeply overpriced and unwelcoming.

The place was clean. But old. And the front desk staff were not friendly. Just meh. When I asked for help with ferries to downtown SF they had no idea about anything and didn’t offer to look anything up. Breakfast was all carbs. Nothing great.

This place is too old. The bedding and linens are too old which troubles me the most. Air conditioning is way too noisy. If you open the window, then the street is too noisy. The cleaning lady knocked at my door twice around 11am though check out time is 12.
