This is one of those London hotels that seems to survive solely because of its location. The property is quite run-down, creaky, and badly in need of renovation. The walls are so thin that I could hear everything from the guest in the neighboring room, including constant coughing and loud phone conversations. As a result, I barely got any sleep.
I politely asked the front desk if it was possible to move to another room, but they told me they were fully booked and unable to accommodate my request. However, I noticed that rooms were still available to book online, which made me feel as though I was being dismissed.
Overall, it was an uncomfortable and unpleasant stay, and I will not be returning. If you’re desperate to stay near Paddington, this hotel might be worth considering, but for me, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in London—and I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels over the past five years.
