Good motels but needs work

We did get the theme room but the living area was very dirty including clumps of hair in the tub. Issues with the code to get into the hotel which you had to get from the hotel across the road. Bedroom was clean and beds were comfy. Definitely needs some updating. Next to the car wash, liquor and food store which was good. Walking distant to the down town area

Falsely advertised

Hotel is nothing like shown. There is no pool or playground. They rooms are no long wizard of oz themed. You have to check in at a hotel across the road.

It was overall great, it just smelled like cigarettes in a no smoking room, there were random clothes under the bed and the soap looked funky but overall beds were comfy, bathroom was nice and functions of sink and microwave were good.

We understand they are remodeling but our room was not. The room was clean, it was quiet and safe. The room and it's furniture was ok. AC struggled and the bed? It left a lot to be desired.

Room was filthy. Smelled horrible. Window didn’t shut nor lock. Air conditioning does not blow cold air. Room was unlocked when we got there. Dirt and grime on walls, ceilings and window. Hole in carpet. It was awful. Asked for a different room and we were told no because we used Expedia we would be charged again. Went for breakfast and every crockpot was empty. No pastries nor muffins were left. I had to ask for the food to be replenished. Front desk lady told me to call Expedia. Couldn’t find a phone number. I will only book direct from now on. Do not go to this hotel! It is horrible!

Not great customer service. Lots of confusion. Bath tub was very dirty, as well as microwave, it had chunks of food in it. Mattress pad was stained.

not worth the money

the room smelled moldy right as we walked in. the fridge still had food in it from someone else. there was hair in the shower. and our neighbors yelled all night. i do not recommend sgaying here. not worth the money at all. we almost just left but it was late and i didnt want to drive 3 hrs in the dark.

Hotel was not as advertised on the Hotels.com website. We booked a king suite, non-smoking, with a jacuzzi tub. We did not care about the jacuzzi, but did care about the size of the bed and the room being non-smoking. The hotel was reported as "updated." When we arrived, the room had obviously been heavily smoked in. The room was visibly dirty, with stains on the couches and the material ripped. When we asked for another room and explained the condition, we were told that only one room was a king suite as advertised on the website. We were offered another room in the main hotel, but it also had an unpleasant smell. We asked for a refund and we did get the refund.

We didn't have unrealistic expectations. However we did expect a clean room. There was pubic hair, dust bunnies and filth along the baseboard behind the bathroom door. Also, both the couch and footstool had disgusting brown stains. That made us distrust the overall cleanliness of the remainder of the room. We stayed at a "MyPlace" the night before which was the same price but immaculate. It may have just been a "bad look" and not your norm, but it sure made a very poor impression.

No one available to provide toilet paper until tomorrow!!!! Chair in room falling apart. Handles on chest of drawers fell off when pulled to open. No Kleenex . Only one hand towel and wash rag.carpet had not been vacuumed, grass and debris on floor. Bed was a sagging squeaky pile of crap. Toilet stool so low an adult had to be a gymnast to use it. They should have paid us to stay there!!

Comfortable but not what we paid for.

We booked our room as a king suite a month before our stay for our anniversary. Upon arrival we learned the room we had pre-paid for was given to someone else and there was not a comparable room available. We were placed in a standard room but management told us that since we had paid through hotels.com they could not issue a discount or refund just an apology. This was very upsetting as we had paid extra for the king suite with the jetted tub. Otherwise the room we ended up in was comfortable but basic. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and it had a decent sized TV. We have stayed at this motel for the last 10 years and this has been our only negative experience and we learned they were under new management. We enjoyed our stay but it was disappointing.

We were very disappointed in our stay. We requested the king suite and in the details of the description describe it as having a jetted tub. It had a regular bathtub with a shower head that was not high enough for us to stand under. It also said there would be a coffee pot in the room and there was not. This room was not anything like the description. It needed a lot of maintenance. Stains on the carpet and the bathroom threshold was coming up so we could barely shut the door. The toilet seat was also loose when you sat down. For the amount of money spent it was not what was advertised. I would not stay again.

The Simmer Motel did not give me the room that I booked and paid for. I reserved the King Suite with a jacuzzi and four post bed and was given a different room. When I brought this up, they blamed Expedia and said that the room was unavailable (I have never had an issue like this with Expedia in my life). To their credit, they did give me a partial refund. The room I ended up with, while inferior to what was advertised/that I booked, was okay. Just "okay." The temperature control unit was very loud, the bathroom was uncomfortably small, with a very small shower and almost no counter space. The walls weren't very soundproof (despite what was advertised) and I could hear the neighbors. The doors don't have keys and instead have a code system to lock/unlock, which was not very user friendly (our door took many attempts to lock every time), nor does it seem particularly secure. My stay was bearable but I wouldn't stay here again

Terrible little motel

Difficulty getting keypad code to work initially to get into the room, then could not get the code to work to lock the room upon leaving after checking in initially. A motel employee happened to be in the parking lot area and saw me struggling with the lock, came over and used a physical key to turn the bolt and lock the door. Then, when I came back to actually use the room to sleep, the keypad code would not work to unlock the room. Also, the room was billed as non-smoking but smelled of cigarette smoke. When I came back that night, there was a rowdy party going on outside the door, based in the room next door to mine, AND, the keypad code would not work. Left and told the night desk person I would not be staying. There is construction/refurb work going on with several other rooms.

Property was purchased by another hotel in the area. We had to go to that hotel to check in. Our room at the Simmer motel did not have a smoke detector, carpet, flooring & furniture was stained, dirty & dingy. Definitely would not recommend this property.

I ordered a room with a jet hot tub from the web site .Yes I paid extra for the room .I was informed by the office that none of the rooms had jet tubs,they was in the middle of a remodel. I asked questions around the extra charge for a room with the jet tub . No response. I suggested they update the online site andI was dismissed back to the remodeling situation. They never offered to refund any part of my payment and or update the advertisement. A extra blanket in the room would be nice it is Nov . I enjoyed the room overall. They have two different parts of the hotel . I was across the road . Not sure if they had a breakfast or not.

Dated room, vanity light didn’t work, lock code didn’t work, spider webs all over the exterior, blinds were broke, not curtains, so parking lot lights shined bright into the room all night!! Musty smell, would not stay here again, especially for the price.
