Well-located, clean hotel with some noise issues.
The hotel is extremely well located with easy access to both the beach and Fremantle city centre. The rooms are compact but clean with efficient air-conditioning. The rooms also have a coffee machine so you can get a coffee in the morning even with the bar only opening later. The only downside to this hotel is the noise - there is a bar downstairs that plays loud music until midnight every night and occasionally also hosts a DJ. The rooms are not at all sound proofed so you're kept up until late by the music and bar patrons, and woken up early by the noise of the traffic. When this was raised to the manager we were told that the music couldn't be turned down and that the venue is a pub first. He said that this is stated on the website however, if booked through hotels.com. the description only states that there is a bar onsite which is standard for a hotel. Overall, this is a great hotel if you're in Fremantle to explore the city centre and are staying here for the nightlife, but not ideal for longer stays or if you're looking for a decent night's sleep.

Toller Start in Australien
Das Zimmer ist für mich perfekt. Ich bin abends vom Flughafen mit dem Zug und Bus angereist und das Hotel ist nur 50 m entfernt von der Haltestelle. Der check -In ging sehr einfach, man half mir, das Gepäck hochzutragen und einen Begrüßungsdrink gab es auch.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Wall fan and fridge excellent. Cleaning done every day. The rooms need freshning up. Stains on the walls, carpet old. Hostel standard for hotel price!

This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life! I have never encountered such a terrible hotel, or perhaps I shouldn't even call it a hotel; it's more like a room in a bar. First of all, there are no hotel staff here. There is no one working at the reception room. If you need anything, you have to go to the bar to find the waiters for assistance. Our room is right above the bar, and it is not soundproof at all. You can clearly hear the music and party noise from the bar, making it impossible to rest. The movement of guests (probably due to opening/closing doors and collisions) constantly shakes our door. When we inquired at the bar late at night, the waiter said they clearly mentioned that the music would stop by 12 AM, but this is not true! We booked through hotxls.com, and the website did not indicate that this was a bar with such noisy music and party sounds. Major hotel agencies and the official hotel website did not mention this either. Even after 12 AM, there were still activities and conversations from the bar staff, preventing us from resting all night. In addition to the noise and the constantly shaking door, the room is very bright even with the lights off. Please see the photos. We left around 6 AM, and the waiters had not started working yet. There was no one to check us out, so we had to leave the room key in the room and leave.

Great start at the Norfolk
Very pleasantly surprised. Came here years ago and it was a bit of a dive. The company who owns it have done a fabulous job doing the place up. Staff very friendly, brilliant bar staff who was willing to make a cocktail that wasn't on the list. Room comfortable, we went for an ensuite - YMMV

Unterkunft liegt zentral in Freemantle und liegt teilweise über einer Bar/Restaurant. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich. Wir hatten das Pech, ein Zimmer direkt über der Bar zu bekommen. Das war nicht in Ordnung. Im Zimmer war es bis Mitternacht sehr laut. Dadurch, dass der Dunstabzug der Küche seitlich unter unserem Fenster war, riechte es nach Frittierfett und Essen. Grundsätzlich ist es eine gute Unterkunft mit sauberen Zimmern, allerdings sollte man dieses eine Zimmer nicht mehr vermieten.

Great pub and good accom
Great pub with decent accommodation. The staff are outstanding and very accommodating. The room is decent with all you need, accessible by stairs, so if your are not mobile don't do it. Our stay was a Friday night which meant a DJ in the pub. The noise of it carried a little but did not disturb us for sleeping. Drinks and food in the pub is good. Thr location was excellent and I would stay again. Thanks for the food stay.

The room is very small the bathroom is even smaller you can only get in and out of the bed on one side otherwise good. Rooms could do with a microwave as not everyone can afford to eat out

Small but full of heart!
This little hotel was a last minute booking and totally exceeded our expectations! The location is perfect to explore Fremantle and the bar/restaurant was great for a drink in the evening. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, the room was small but perfect for what we needed. The nespresso machine was an unexpected bonus! Would definitely stay here again next time we visit.

Good location, but noisy.
Pro's: Conveniently located within easy walking distance of transport terminals, shopping, many eateries and tourist attractions. Clean room and shared bathroom (* no shortage of complimentary sanitary bags). Staff were friendly and helpful on the few occasions I spoke with them. Cons: my room was difficult to cool down & the noise from the downstairs bar/function room was intrusive (this won't be a problem for guests who plan to be out on the town until the early hours).
