TLH Carlton Hotel and Spa - TLH Leisure and Entertainment Resort
"Great stay but all could do with up dating & breakfast was sparse"
Lincombe Hall Hotel & Spa - Just for Adults
"Food is excellent. Lots of stairs and steep paths so perhaps a problem for some. Staff are super 👌"
The Grand Hotel
"Lovely stay very clean right on beach"
TLH Toorak Hotel - TLH Leisure, Entertainment and Spa Resort
"The general decor, walls curtains and carpets are quite dated and worn. It Cld do with a revamp. But it’s clean and fresh feeling despite that and the rooms are really big and the pools are great! It’s a perfect location to walk into Torquay too. Will definitely return."
Belgrave Sands Hotel & Spa
"Don't let the photos of the exterior fool you, the hotel has been refurbished and the interior is superb. The whole experience was excellent, couldn't really fault the hotel, staff, location, room...all excellent - we will be back !"
Devonshire Hotel
"Stayed 3 nights booked direct on day. Staff are excellent especially Susie and her son. Everyone working there was so pleasant which made for a nice atmosphere and they all seem happy to be there. Carpets in corridors a bit tired. Rooms were cleaned every day. We only had bed and breakfast which was served efficiently to lots of guests in a short time slot. Many were on coach holidays and the only downside for us was the doors banging between 530 and 630 as people got their bags collected to load on coach and presume coaches being prepared to leave at 9am. It was situated on a steep hill but you could catch a bus down and up from the harbour area for £1, free with a bus pass. Taxi back up later one night was under £6 so not a problem if you cant do hills! It was nice weather so used the pool and there was entertainment on in the evening. Seemed to attract pleasant guests too and we enjoyed our mini break there and will go back in near future"
Abbey Sands Hotel
"Was perfect for what we needed a wuick one night with our doggo"
Crofton House Hotel
"Room was clean and tidy. Hotel spa amenities are appreciated, including ice maker available. This is a relaxed and friendly place to stay."
The Trecarn Hotel
"We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was clean with an on-suite bathroom with toilet, sink, and combination bath and shower. We ate breakfast and dinner during our stay and the food was good with a full English, toast, cereal, yogurt and fruit for breakfast and salad or soup for starters 2 meat options and a fish option for main and a selection of cakes for pudding for dinner. Breakfast wasn’t greasy and dinner was like a home cooked meal, not fussy but tasty. Overall we had a great time. Parking is on the road but we always found a space. The hotel offered evening entertainment of a singer each night from 8-10pm with an open bar which was nice to sit and listen to before going to bed. You could not hear the singer from your bedroom so you were not disturbed if you chose not to attend."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Torquay
- Book for the cheapest times: Visiting Torquay on a budget is a delightful experience, particularly during January, February and November when hotels offer lower prices that might drop even further. Staying for at least 2 to 3 days provides great value for money, giving visitors ample time to explore the area's key landmarks, history and cultural attractions. Among the highlights are the scenic sea views, the town’s friendly people, and its charming small-town vibe, along with a cosy bar, a bustling port, inventive cocktails, a rejuvenating spa, a quaint zoo and a delightful selection of cheese.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: You may discover enticing deals for Torquay hotels by visiting the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com, where discounted rates close to your travel date could be available. Check the Last-Minute Deals section for flash sales or special promotions for a spontaneous getaway. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature on the app allows travellers to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you’re more likely to see updates on price drops or available rooms in your favourite hotels. Stay informed via email alerts or push notifications to ensure you do not miss any opportunities to save.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Torquay hotel. For those in search of unique accommodation, boutique hotels offer a more personalised experience and, at times, better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If it is on the higher side, we might suggest more affordable dates, which could help you find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels nearer the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Torquay’s excellent public transport links, you might find a more affordable independent hotel further afield that is still well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
