Tired grubby rooms

Tired and grubby rooms, nice food in the restaurant the only redeeming feature. Rooms need a complete overhaul and though clean

Had a lovely look about it with the beams i inside. Lots of room plenty of food choice complements to the staff and chief. Overall really enjoyed our stay

Stayed here for 3 nights do a conference locally and it was perfect. Friday enjoyed a beautiful meal in the restaurant. Staff went above and beyond. Very approachable if I had any questions. Looking forward to coming back next year!

6/10 Okay

Public areas were great and full of character. Staff were friendly and the bar stocked a good selection of beers. The accommodation however is tired and in need of refurbishment.

Lovely Pub

This was a lovely pub with friendly staff and great food and i would recommend eating here. I would stay somewhere else though, the room was basic, the heating did eventually come on, when i checked in i was told that they don't offer breakfast in the week which isn't very helpful when you have already booked.

A lovely welcome and everyone during our stay were lovely. We stayed in the outside annexe so can’t comment on more internal rooms. These rooms were clean and well equipped just are ready for a refurb which judging from the rest of the property will be done I am sure. Still very worth a visit the restaurant was amazing

Great place to stay

Great place to stay in a quiet location but near to Peterborough. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was ensuite with a shower. We had an evening meal which was fantastic, very good sized portions. Would highly reccomend and will definately stay again.

Great place to stop off.

Was a great place for an overnight stay. My only potential issue was the 10pm cut-off for checking in. In theory I needed to get there nearer 11pm, but as it happenedon the day various health factors meant I was well inside 10pm.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Wishing Well. Sam and her team were wonderful hosts, accommodating our requests and additional requirements with a smile. Dining options in the pub were very good, and we enjoyed getting our whole family together on one evening. Thanks for accommodating us, we look forward to returning again some time in the future

6/10 Okay

Great service, food ok but rooms need an urgent update. Very noisy between ground and upper floors.

The staff were really welcoming, but no-one was on duty when I left. I handed the room key to the cleaner who spoke no English. The downstairs room I was in was not well insulated from noise in the room upstairs.

The food was amazing, we would recommend the restaurant to anyone. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, we did not appreciate having to use an outside, open, staircase to access the room. I am terrified of heights and was terrified. Not pleased to have to go outside if it rained. The shower was only just useable, low pressure: the basin was so small the if you leant forward to clean your teeth you bashed your head off the glass shelf. There was nowhere to put anything in the bathroom. There was no way to control the room temperature and it got far too hot. The beds though were wonderful. Not having breakfast on the Monday was a surprise and a let down. Still worth a visit though as any upgrading is still a work in progress. We wish them luck.

It was a convenient location for where we were going. The room was adequate but could have done with a makeover. Breakfast was not until 9.30 so too late for us. The rickety wooden staircase upstairs was hard to negotiate for us over a certain sge - when leaving, we found there was an outside metal staircase.

Car parking is both ample and free of charge. Pleasant and large outdoor seating area Bar/restaurant is very charming and cosy with nice olde worlde features. Staff were all lovely and service good. Wholesome well cooked and nicely presented food at reasonable prices. We stayed for one night in Room 12. Generally it was okay, but the shower room was in desperate need of some cosmetic tlc. The shower gave a decent flow of hot water, but the sliding cubicle doors didn't meet/join where they're supposed to! The worst aspect however was the very loud creaking floor board noises caused by the guests in room above moving around. Sadly this ruined what otherwise would have been a peaceful night's sleep.
