Ok but needs some improvements
The hotel is in an amazing position for visiting NY. Our bathroom was looking a little tired and the bath certainly needs replacing as the enamel is flaking. The room was however very comfortable and it was great to have 2 proper beds so our son was not sleeping on a sofa bed. The hotel only has a very small bar area. Whilst it advertsied a Happy Hour between 5-7 pm, we were told that they don't offer this duing the Christmas season. They did however, honour it for us and changed the notice for the following night. The Cafe which is available for breakfast was extremely slow and staff not overly friendly. Also cold milk in porridge was not nice but after queuing for 30 mins, we didn't want to queue again to get something else. It was great to be able to leave your bags on the check out day but again, there was one poor staff member doing this and the queues were out the door, another 45 mins wait. Overall, the hotel was ok to stay at but there are a few things which they could improve on.

Very nice location. Easy to get to many landmarks such as time square and Rockefeller center. However the room needed some improvements. The lighting in the bathroom was horrible, there was no light around the mirror. Not sure if it was a lightbulb issue or electrical but the entire mirror had no light. Also the thermostat wasn’t working correctly. We had it sent on 68 and the temp for the room read 75. It got so hot in the room that we had to turn the heat off when we went to sleep.

The location was good, the staff were very accommodating, however….. it took over 45 minutes each morning to get a cup of coffee from the cafe. The room was so hot. The unit in the rooms is either on cool or heat Mode. We turned our unit to the off mode and had the window cracked and it was still so hot. We could not rest because it was so uncomfortable. The shower was cold, we had to call maintenance twice. Will not stay again or recommend

Location was great however the room was really cold and uncomfortable. Apparently the hotel regulates the thermostat and couldn’t turn on heat due to above zero temperatures. We did ask for a heater but didn’t really hear up the room. It was very uncomfortable but the view was nice and location was great. Also, the fact that they don’t offer room service was also disappointing.

Large rooms!
This place is the best bang for your buck in terms if space and location. By far the biggest rooms for this price frame. In some cases, by double. If you don’t want to be near the action, might not be for your as the entrance and exit are in Times Square/ also can enter from 49th street. The rooms are slightly dated but nothing horrible. I mostly just noticed the tubs need to be reglazed. Try to grab a city view room!

Wonderful stay, steps from Times Square
We loved our stay here! It was steps away from Times Square and there were many options for restaurants nearby. It was within easy walking distance of Rockefeller Center and Fifth Avenue. I appreciated the security measures, like checking that you have a room key before allowing you to go up to the rooms. There is a little store for a quick breakfast in the morning. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We had a great time!

Low quality at a very high price
Although the location was great, the condition of the room was very poor. The bath tub was very old and peeling, the walls were dirty, the carpet was stained and had not been cleaned. The towels had holes and were very old and looked like cleaning rags. The room was never dusted or properly cleaned. We paid over $750 per day and the toilet paper provided was the lowest quality and probably the cheapest. It is an absolute disgrace to pay that much money and be subjected to such a low quality environment.
