A wonderful place

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and you can’t beat the location!! I was unexpectedly able to check-in early when I arrived, which was awesome. They let guests store luggage if you arrive before check-in and after you checkout- it’s so great! Friendly staff, too. I’d definitely stay there again next time I’m in Chicago.

We always have a wonderful trip to Chicago. When we stay at the Congress. It's centrally located and easily accessible to most eateries and local attractions. The staff are always very attentive and willing. We truly enjoy our stays.

Pricier than it should be, very old, not well kept

The hotel is quite old and many parts of it are not well maintained. There is a beautiful lobby area. The room I was in was not well kept and also let in a lot of draught.

It was nice, there was a vent cover on bathroom ceiling that was loose. A little sketchy. Oddly the TV was tiny. Holiday Inn’s have better TVs. Otherwise our stay was comfortable.

spacious room

I give it five stars because I don’t really have any complaints. The bed was very comfortable, the room was large for 2 people, very spacious. The bathroom was spacious, clean and could use an upgrade but it worked just fine. The price was right and the location to downtown, Soldier Stadium, and the train station was perfect.
