I almost never write reviews, but my experience at the *Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago* was so unbelievably bad that I feel genuinely obligated to warn others before they book.
Let’s start with the basics: the hotel is **old, worn-out, and in desperate need of modernization**. Normally I can tolerate a dated design, but this stay went far beyond aesthetics.
The real nightmare began when I discovered **a bed bug** in my room. I brought it directly to the front desk—*physically showed it to them*—and instead of concern or urgency, I got blank stares and apathetic attitudes. The staff seemed completely **disinterested, dismissive, and at times made me feel as if the situation was somehow my fault.** The lack of empathy or professionalism was astonishing.
As if that wasn’t enough, the **walls are paper thin**, and I could hear every conversation, door slam, and late-night hallway wanderer as if they were standing in my room. Sleep was basically impossible, even before the bed bug situation guaranteed I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near the mattress.
