Historic hotel situated in a historic area. Good restaurants at all price levels and tastes. Nice area to be for breakfasts and dinners, close to music venues, wine bars, and local color. Unfortunately, the area is noisy throughout the evening and early AM and the hotel hasn't upgraded to double pane windows, so the street noise is very noticeable. That, plus a lackluster morning "breakfast" that reflects an impersonal approach to hospitality make this potentially stunning hotel disappointing. A vase of fresh flowers in the lobby and/or dinning area would be step in the right direction...
