My wife and I reserved a king-sized bed. We checked in and went to our room, only to find two smaller beds. We inquired at the front desk, where the receptionist told us that this was the only room we could get, as the hotel was all booked up. She told us to contact Orbitz/Expedia for a refund. We contacted Orbitz, where the representative told us that we would have to ask the hotel for a refund, as the hotel charged us at the time of check in. We contacted the hotel again, and the reservations representative said that they have an arrangement with Orbitz where they list a property on Orbitz but they can give any room that is available to the people who have made the reservation. So frustrating! So underhanded! This is the second time in two months where we've booked something on Orbitz, shown up at the hotel, and told that we weren't getting what we had reserved. At least the previous time, the hotel was able to make it right. This time, however, both the hotel and Orbitz are denying responsibility. I am very unhappy with both the hotel and Orbitz.
