Mixed Experience
Our stay was okay overall, with a few highlights—but also several frustrations that held it back from being truly enjoyable.
What We Liked:
• Kids Club: Packed with activities that kept the little ones entertained for hours.
• Swimming Pools: Great variety and well-maintained.
• Breakfast: Solid selection and tasty options to start the day.
• Fiji Airways Check-In Onsite: Huge convenience—no need to arrive at the airport 3 hours early.
What Fell Short:
• Hidden Costs at Kids Club: The Build-a-Bear experience felt almost unavoidable and came with a hefty price tag (over $100).
• Coffee Situation: Machine-made coffee was subpar, and with only two machines for 100+ guests, there were frequent issues—milk running out, machines rebooting, long waits.
• Inconsistent Room Cleaning: Housekeeping often came late in the day (after 4pm), which was inconvenient once we’d returned to the room.
• Room Condition: Dated interiors, including a leaking bathroom ceiling and non-functional phones to reach reception.
• Construction Nearby: No noise, but the view from some rooms was bleak and uninspiring.
• Water Slide Closure: Oddly shut down between 12–2pm—right when kids want to play.
• Service Gaps: Staff didn’t always follow through on requests. We asked for a 5:30am luggage pickup—no one came. Also requested early breakfast access due to a flight, but were turned away until managment involvment. Not exactly customer-first approach.
Summary: okay, but not special.
