Crap

The door lock it took at least 5x to get the door open. It needs to be repaired. no blackout curtains. kids up at 8 AM screaming and running around, not a place for a peaceful stay. the mattress was so lumpy, I checked out a day earlier. Just so I could get home & sleep in my own bed. Even the pillows were horrible. I'll never stay here again.

This by no means is a 5star hotel but it is a really nice lodge with big rooms and with a porch (not private but no one bothers you) and a good sized pool and a nic3 lake view.

Family owned. ALOT of live-ins sitting out smoking cigarettes and pot which made the smell unappealing. Doors were busted up from being forced open and hard to shut and lock..had to push it with your body. VERY OUTDATED ROOMS! Tried to take shower second night there and NO hot water. No extra plugins. Will not be back..dont know why anyone would.

Roll the dice----old or new

They seem to be doing some aggressive remodeling. But we didn't get one of the remodeled rooms (like you see in the site photos). We got what they are tearing out and replacing. The bed was comfortable, the room wasn't dirty, just worn. Well, the inside of the door and the door frame were grimy. They are associated with the Inn at Grand Glaize, so we had the option of using their restaurants and facilities. But we only stayed one night, and we weren't on site very long. Grand Glaize is also getting a make-over. I would stay here again. But I would confirm a newer room.

the rooms are outdated...no hairdryer, microwave or hangers for clothes and the dresser smelled musty. Our room door wasn't secure, deadbolt didn't line up so we only had a chain lock to feel safe and the door itself had to be slammed shut. It was a place to get a few hours sleep and warm shower. The lady in the front office was very nice and accommodated us in a different room because what I had reserved isn't what we had when we got there.

Worst place ever!

This was the absolute worst place I have ever been in! The room was disgusting and dirty. Hair and dirt on the bathroom floor. The floor boards were covered in dirt. We saw mold on the bathroom walls and wouldn’t even shower there. We only stayed because it was too late to go somewhere else. This place should have the health department looking into it.

The last working the front desk was beyond friendly. Had no problem with the staff what so ever. The room was just very dirty and dingy. Didn’t have simple things like a trash can or hand soap. But I did pick the cheapest hotel at the lake so it’s kind of my own fault too. I did expect at least soap in a hotel room though.

My card they gave me to open my hotel door would not open' i mean the green light on the door would come on acepting it read my card' but the door would not open. I had to ramp it with my hurt shoulder any time entering/ exiting the room. The smell when i entered the room was musky. There was crumbs all over the floor.

Did not end up staying

When I arrived, I had to call the manager because it was outside of the office's hours. He seemed nice, a bit confused about my booking. He did mention that he took over the hotel about 3 weeks ago. When I got to my room, it took me a few tries to get my door open. When I went to lock my door, there was no chain or anything else beside the bolt. I had a hard time locking the door, which did not make me feel safe. The room I was given had two queen beds instead of the king bed, which is what I booked nor could you see the lake from my room. There was no trashcan to be found in the room and bathroom fixtures (ie. the overhead light and fan) did not have any coverings and you could see into the ceiling. The blinds, which were right next to the bed, had two decent size holes in them and there were no curtains cover the window. After about 30 minutes in the room, I did not feel comfortable staying by myself. I ended up leaving and going to another hotel. I did not contact the manager, since I was feeling so uncomfortable, I just wanted to leave.

Nastiest hotel I’ve ever been into

I booked for 2 nights and left after the first. Wish I could get my money back. Don’t be fooled by the photos. This was the most run down hotel I’ve ever been in. I booked for my family for 2 nights. We stayed the first because we had nowhere else to stay. But went home the next day… To start, most rooms have people living in them long term. The card sleeve my keys were in had been used multiple times unsanitary to say the least. We get to our room. It’s smells like mold. The whole building smells like mold and smoke. The room was dirty. The lights didn’t work. It said no smoking but their were burn holes in the floor and the couches. There were muddy feet prints in the bathroom floor. But the real kicker. THE TUB WAS COVERED IN MOLD. The water that came out of the sink was cloudy. And not just a little. It was murky. The people who run the place live out of the hotel and bother you the whole time your there. They had a dog they kept trying to force onto our kids.. When we told them there was mold in the tub, they guy came in and acted so shocked saying he’d never seen mold in his life. His actual words…. Then proceeded to wipe as much as he could get off with toilet paper, then asked if we wanted bleach water to pour on it. Nothing more… For $100 a night… I’m sick I paid over $200 to spend 1 night in this nasty nightmare.
