It was just an overnight stay. Only irritant was the train whistle at 530 am and 6 am.

Hurricane Refugees
We had evacuated Tallahassee due to hurricane Helene which was projected to make a direct hit on us. With tropical storm impacts on Amelia Island, many of the restaurants were closed and we weren’t sure what we were going to do for dinner. Before searching for a restaurant in the worsening conditions, we decided to go to a welcome get together the hotel was hosting. Unbeknownst to us, they had free pizza and cheesecake for everyone! Problem solved!

No maid service…we do have a dog but left until early afternoon. Had to call maintenance for the shower but they came immediately. The a/c in the room leaked all over the carpet. Was concerned about mold. The bed was comfortable and every one was courteous.

Multiple stays at this location. It’s slipped somewhat this time. B’fast items not refilled. Quick and sloppy housekeeping. Front desk balking when I asked for a receipt. AC unit that sounded like a wood chipper. Nothing of major significance but a slew of little annoyances.
