We booked the hotel before arriving in Mexico. It looked promising—offering direct beach access from the room, and the room itself was very spacious and beautiful. However, the moment we arrived, we noticed a terrible smell even before stepping inside. When we entered the room, it was incredibly hot! There was only a relatively small air conditioner, and it was strictly in the bedroom. The living room, kitchen, and bathroom had no AC at all. We tried leaving the bedroom door open, but it didn't help, and the room's fans provided no relief.
The tipping point was when we stepped out to the beach from our room—the smell was awful, and the entire shoreline was covered in seaweed. Not a single soul was in the water because of it.
Due to the situation, we decided to leave the hotel immediately, after only about an hour or an hour and a half. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights. The hotel owner refused to give us a full refund, keeping 70% of the payment as a cancellation fee. (While this was stated in the booking terms, we never imagined it would apply to a situation like this).
I do not recommend this hotel at all.
