We stayed at Hotel Corvatsch in December for a few days. The service was excellent - the staff (especially Vania) was super helpful in calling different companies (for tours or airport transfers) to help us clear up some questions. Location is great and right near the center of the town. It is located in the city center, so sometimes cars will not stop to drop or pick up people right by the hotel. However, the Hotel Corvatsch staff will help organize it so that the drivers can get you. Like most places, they have no AC but will provide the room with fans if you ask.
The breakfast was okay, nothing exciting. The pillows were really hard. There was no coffee in the room, unfortunately. Water pressure was pretty terrible (probably because it's in a desert) - there were times when the shower would just go out or change completely from hot to cold. Sometimes you wouldn't be able to flush the toilet or wash your hands because there was no water pressure. Like all places in San Pedro, you cannot flush toilet paper down the toilet. There were a lot of spiders and ants in the room/bathroom/bathtub. Frankly, I think the majority of these cons are common among all hotels, as it is a desert.
