This was our first stay at the Grand Magic Hotel. The hotel was clean and functional, but some of the high traffic areas could do with a refresh. The bar area with its changing displays is a highlight. The room was functional with everything you would expect, but storage was very limited in the interconnecting family rooms we had. The bathrooms were clean with shower gel, shampoo and plenty of towels provided. The pool area was open from 8am until 10pm and again was clean, but you have to take towels from your room to use it, the hotel does not provide towels in the pool area for guests use. The breakfast buffet was decent, with both hot and continental style options and was served from 7am until 10am.
The biggest issue that I had was the transportation to and from Disneyland Paris. The hotel provides a free shuttle service every 20 minutes to and from the park, but this service is shared with 4 other hotels, which means that it is packed solid all day. On a number of occasions, we had to wait for multiple buses to pass before finding space on one. It is the same at the "I" stop at the train station, there is no cueing system, and it becomes a free for all to get on the bus. A system of switch backs needs to be installed to ensure the people waiting the longest get onto the bus first and in an orderly manner.
Overall, for the price point and proximity to Disneyland Paris, I would recommend staying at the Grand Magic Hotel, especially for those with larger families
