Great spot to stay if you’re visiting Carlsbad Caverns or Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Close to several restaurants and the continental breakfast was good. Staff were very kind and friendly, plus the hotel was clean. The pullout sofa bed wasn’t extremely comfortable but that was expected. Despite that we had a good stay and would recommend this hotel!

No pillows

We broke down in Carlsbad, so this is why we had to spend the night. We had four (4) adults and two (2) children in our party. The kiddos were going to sleep on the pull out couch. ISSUES: 1) There were no pillows available for the pull out couch and the front desk was not helpful at all…I even requested that they get a couple of pillows form an empty room and was told she could not do that. There was no manager on duty, nor able to be reached by phone. We did call corporate. We ended up getting a couple of pillows from another hotel guest that heard our situation and graciously let us use their extras. 2) When we opened the pull out…the mattress was terrible and unable to be slept on, so we had to walk next door and buy an air mattress from Walmart. 3) The floor lamp was very rickety and barely standing up. 4) One of the queen size beds squeaked terrible with any movement. 5) The shampoo & Conditioner containers were broken off the wall and empty. 6) All of the milk out for breakfast was expired.
