Horrible.
No wifi signal from 2nd floor upwards; room had a steam pipe that made a very annoying sound that kept going on throughout the whole day; very dirty place with cockroaches crawling everywhere (I had to kill at least 3 cockroaches and saw at least one on my bed); bathrooms didnt have a rug on the floor to step on once you leave the shower; people attending were not friendly and only talked strictly to answer your questions; rooms had no table or anything else for that matter, only the 2-story bed. Wouldnt reccomend this hostel for anyone. Horrible.

Desastre limpieza y mantenimiento
Un desastre solo ocupe dos noches de las 3 por que era imposible dormir , el ruido de la calefacción y cucarachas por todos lados , puertas rotas baño sucio , un desastre ni siquiera una colcha para taparse .

Dirty—No bother to sweep, scrub, etc.
The most disgusting hostel ever. There were no attempts to clean or maintain this building. Nothing had been swept or cleaned prior to my arrival except my sheets and pillowcase over a pancake thin pillow. Chairs in the room were falling apart and looked like they were picked up while dumpster diving. The window in my room didn’t close all the way. The shower drain didn’t work. The key system didn’t work so they had to let me in the building and room. The bathroom smelled like mildew. No internet.

Offered to stay in the lobby
they over booked so we were told to sleep in the lobby or go somewhere else at 1am. The lobby already had 3 people sleeping in it and it was a tiny closet like room. No refunds for their mistakes either

Chambre sale avec sacs de poubelle dans un coin laissée depuis X temps... sol plein de saletés et de poussière... Les fenêtres de notre chambre étaient cassées et on entendait le trafic comme si elles étaient grandes ouvertes... On a passé une nuit d'enfer à ne quasiment pas pouvoir fermé l'oeil. De plus, le système de carte électronique d'accès aux chambres ne fonctionnait pas (sûrement le cas depuis des mois mais ne prend pas la peine de le répéter). Nous ne pouvions donc pas quitter notre chambre sans que l'un de nous y soit encore, ou laisser la porte outreouverte le temps d'aller à la salle de bain; ce qui n'est pas du tout sécuritaire. Les salles de bain étaient tout aussi sales. On se doutait que l'hôtel était vieux, mais entre vieux et dégueulasse, il y a une limite... Les photos photoshopées de l'annonce sont mensongères. Ne vous y fier pas. De même que les avis qui disent "séjour excellent", qui sont sûrement des avis payés ou faux. Nous avons annulé le restant de notre séjour et attendons le remboursement. Un hôtel aussi sale ne devrait même pas pouvoir avoir d'annonce sur Expedia.

People have been a little hard on this place. Yes it is pretty low-end but does have the basics. They are right to say bring your own towel and blanket though. And soap for hand/shower

Dirty bathrooms, there were cockroaches in the bed, the bathroom windows were broken, the chair in the room was broken and the air conditioning did not cool, you could not sleep in the heat.

It's cheap so you get what you pay for. I don't mind lower quality accommodations so it didn't bother me, and I was prepared for the bad conditions. No air conditioning, you'll have to keep the window propped open with something and the street is loud that far downtown. Some small roaches in shared kitchen area so I didn't use it. No hand soap in bathroom, but I had hand sanitizer. Shower looked sketchy so I bathed in the sink. The hardest part was no phone at the front desk. I couldn't call from the airport to ask about the shuttle. It was advertised but not actually a thing anymore. They got rid of it a few years ago ("covid," but I doubt it.) The desk staff was just two random dudes on their phones hanging out, one counting a large amount of cash which felt a little weird. They were nice enough though. The maid was very nice despite the terrible state of the place, though I don't think it was his fault. He was doing his best. On the plus side, you're right next to a subway stop. So getting there from the airport wasn't too bad. It took about an hour.My train to the airport was canceled though, and when I finally got to the M60 bus stop it drove past me and opened its doors for two seconds way down the street then left. I had to pay $40 or $50 for an uber to get to the airport on time. So if you're not a local be prepared that the pubic transport isn't very reliable.

Worst accommudstion of my life.
The hostel was super ditry and bad smelling. Cockroaches running around everywhere. I wouldn't even stay there for free, but I must because I spent more than a 100$/night. They should close down the whole place. Everything was in terrible condition. The bedsheets had more hair on them than clean spots.

EL PERSONAL ES SUPER AMABLE, EL DETALLE ESTA EN QUE LAS IMAGENES QUE MUESTRAN A LA HORA DE RESERVAR NO CONCUERDAN CON LA REALIDAD. ESTA LEJOS DE LOS ATRACTIVOS DE NY, LO QUE TIENE CERCANO ES CENTRAL PARK EN REALIDAD Y ESTACIONES DE METRO. LA HABITACION QUE RENTE ERA PRIVADA CON BAÑO, LO CUAL ENTIENDO QUE SOLO YO Y MI CAMA Y BAÑO, PERO ME INDICARON QUE NO QUE TENIA QUE COMPARTIR (LO CUAL HACE QUE NO SEA PRIVADO EL BAÑO, LOGICA NO TIENE) ME CAMBIARON DE HABITACION POR QUE NO TENIAN LO QUE RESERVE Y ME DEJARON SOLA EN UNA HABITACION CON CAMA SUCIA, INDICARON QUE REALIZARIAN LA LIMPIEZA Y JAMAS PASO. HUELE A MARIGUANA, COSA QUE NO ME MOLESTA PERO A ALGUIEN PODRIA MOLESTARLE, ES UN LUGAR VIEJO Y DEBERIAN TENER LIMPIO POR LO MENOS LOS ESPACIOS COMUNES, PERO ESTAN LLENOS DE MUEBLES Y CAJAS. CONSIDEREN QUE EL ESPACIO DONDE SE GUARDAN LAS MALETAS TIENE RATAS PERO NO MUERDEN LAS MALETAS. NO ME DIERON LLAVE DE MI HABITACION Y TUVE QUE ESPERAR 30MIN EN RECEPCION EN UNA OCACION PARA INGRESAR. COSA QUE SE ME HACIA PREOCUPANTE EL NO TENER ACCESO DIRECTO A MIS COSAS, NO PASO NADA MALO GAD. EL PERSONAL SI AYUDA PERO NO PIDAN MAS DE LO NORMAL. PAGUE 9000 PESOS POR 4 NOCHES.

The people who run this place are nice enough but they need to do a far better job maintaining the place. They should make sure toilet paper and soap is stocked up in every bathroom, air blowers are functioning, and that the showers are consistently cleaned.

It's a place if you need a place in NYC, it is close to Central Park or opposite direction the river walk. Location is great. And close to a main artery Subway station. However lacking in areas. Smaller rooms, one of the toilets I had to beg to flush, cleaning staff may have been on vacay, it's an older building, the common area was, They do have a coffee machine, vending machine, a large shared refrigerator for food ( I didn't see anywhere to cook besides a microwave) a fun map with pushpins in it, and a community room futon. Price was excellent for NYC. I am glad it was available for me to book while in town.Thank You Central Park West Hostel.

Unfortunately the whole property is in very poor condition with unsanitary restrooms, dirty showers and the rooms themselves smell like urine with clearly used bed sheets. The description promised body wash etc., but not even soap was provided. Also the “air conditioning” can hardly be called that, it was hot the entire night. The common room was a mess too, with dirty furniture and trash laying around. Because of this situation I wasn’t able to sleep and checked out around 4 am. Sorry, but that’s a definite no for me.

The staff is helpful but the facilities are pretty bad the door lock system has only one key which is only accessible by the staff so you cant keep going and coming back to the room without being escorted by the staff member.

The property is older and feels run down. There was an odor (urine?) in the elevator. They didn’t have keys for any of the rooms because their system was “down.”. You had to be escorted to your room by the front desk person - that meant WAITING for someone to come to the desk. Sometimes, I had to wait 10 minutes. Overall, I would not recommend and will not return.

Tek ranzalı odada kaldım. Asyalı bi abi vardı altta. Yatak rahat ve temizdi gördüğümce yine de yastığa havlu serdim ama iyiydi. Kilit takılabilen dolap var ama biraz dar tek karış genişliğinde ağzı. Tuvalet elimi yüzümü yıkadım sadece temizdi iyiydi, terlik varsa duş alabilirsiniz.

The listing doesn't list many amenities which I did not expect with the budget I was on, but my room smelled like a litter box which gave me a headache and I could not get the few hours of sleep I paid for, there was no soap in the bathroom to wash my hands, and there wasn't any hot water so I got to embrace military roots in taking a cold shower. Overall it was not worth the money. Thank God He allowed me to drepen my appreciation of all the blessings that I do have.
