We chose the Velvet Rope to celebrate my husband’s recent milestone birthday. We live in nearby Palm Desert, but decided to do a “staycation” and were joined by friends and family from out of town. We rented four of the nine rooms. All of the rooms have a different theme and every attention to detail is evident in the beautiful decor and craftsmanship. Our suite had a full kitchen and large bathroom. The mattress and bedding were perfect and super comfortable. This iconic Palm Springs hotel is a delightful hidden gem- from the beautiful pool and surrounding cabana beds to the art deco, speakeasy style lounge where you can enjoy delicious cocktails and light bites. I highly recommend this property- the staff was excellent as well and accommodated us beautifully it is just a few blocks to the heart of downtown Palm Springs, where there are plenty of restaurants and shopping to chose from. Don’t miss the Velvet Rope on your next visit to Palm Springs!

I loved our stay so much! The hotel is absolutely STUNNING. The pool is absolutely fantastic. I think the hot tub could be a smidge hotter but other than that this is a 12/10 for me. Would stay here anytime.

The property was charming with a beautiful outdoor area and stunning views, the room outfitted well. The issue was the strong smelling cleaners and detergents, with no windows that opened I ended up sleeping with the door ajar to get fresh air in that could dissipate the smell so I could try and sleep. Helped a bit but overall this issue prevented much sleep from happening

The Candelabra room was amazing, Liberace inspired. Filled with accessories making it such a unique guest experience. The bed was super comfortable, the staff was welcoming and the pool area is charming with plenty of cabanas. The whole hotel is a design delight. The bar lounge is elegant and vibrant, I was lucky as Saturday evenings they have live entertainment.

We had a lovely stay at the Velvet Rope. The room was lovely and comfortable and staff were very friendly. Personally I prefer to support smaller independent hotels on trips where I can, and we really enjoyed our stay here. Downtown shops and cafes are within a walking distance, and the pool and hot tubs were enjoyable on a hot sunny day in January. I would recommend.

I absolutely loved The Velvet Ropes. From the moment we arrived, the experience was flawless. Check-in was seamless, and the staff personally walked us through the property and showed us everything, which immediately made us feel welcome. Each room is decorated uniquely, which makes the stay feel special. We stayed in the Lucille Ball room, and it was beyond cute. That said, after seeing the Presidential Suite, we already know we’ll be back to stay there next time. The staff was truly amazing, warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the experience they create. We fell in love with them just as much as the venue itself. The speakeasy bar was a highlight. The atmosphere, the singers, the music, everything was incredible. Even if you’re not staying at The Velvet Ropes, you have to visit the speakeasy. It’s that good. We can’t wait to come back. The Velvet Ropes is something special.

First, let me tell you how amazing this place is! Our room was so cool, staying with the Rat Pack felt nostalgic!! Room was very clean and the details are fantastic, you can tell they really paid attention to get the perfect vibe. The owners were so down to earth and lovely, made us feel very welcome, which we will hopefully going back sooner than later. The pool and spa are heated and the Amy Winehouse lounge was beautiful!! The owners were nice enough to let us see other rooms too. If you have a special occasion or just in the mood to hang with old Hollywood, I definitely recommend this is the spot!!!

The velvet rope has automatically become our favorite place to stay in Palm Springs. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The property is clean and well kept, walking distance to restaurants and entertainment. Valerie lounge is a must when you stay, great cocktail bar & live entertainment. We will definitely be staying here again next time we visit.

Staff was great. Room clean, pool is heated. I do wish our room, the a lavender room, had drawers for clothes. Also, no ice maker, however if front desk is there, they get you ice in bar. In mo Ning, no staff, so no ice if you need for your adventure. Regardless, a great place
