Room Denied Despite Confirmed Late Check-in
I made a fully paid reservation for two rooms from February 19 to February 22. Due to bad weather conditions in Istanbul, my colleague arrived on February 20, while I checked in on February 19. Upon arrival, I requested the keys for both rooms, but the staff refused to provide the second room’s key, stating it would only be given when my colleague arrived.
When my colleague arrived, they were unexpectedly denied access to the room, with "late check-in" cited as the reason. Later, the hotel claimed there were no available rooms and declined any form of resolution. This was extremely frustrating, especially since we had officially informed both the hotel and Hotels.com about the late check-in on February 17, and they had confirmed and approved it.
Despite this confirmation, our reservation was disregarded, and we were left without a room while still being charged. This experience was highly disappointing, and the lack of accountability from both the hotel and the booking platform made it even worse. I strongly advise future guests to be cautious when booking to avoid similar issues.
